Dent Repair
Repairing Dents Using PDR
PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) is a technique used to repair minor dents and dings on cars and other vehicles (including motorcycles, RVs, and boats) without repainting the vehicle. Dents are gradually removed by applying pressure from the back side of the dent using special tools and techniques. Not all dents qualify for Paintless Dent Repair. If the paint is cracked or scratched, dent is not a good candidate for PDR.
Why use PDR?
There are many advantages to PDR:
- PDR is less expensive than traditional body shop repairs (often 50-70% less).
- PDR preserves your original paint. No risk of your paint peeling or fading over time.
- PDR is faster than auto body shop repairs, often taking less than two hours to accomplish.
- PDR is more convenient for you since the dent repair tech comes to your home or office. You won’t need a rental car and you won’t have to wait days to get your car back from the shop.
How does PDR work?
The dent repair technician will access your dent in one of the several ways: If the dent is on or near your fender it may be possible to access it from the wheel well. If the dent is on your door the repair technician will use one of many specialized tools that allow him to safely gain access by sliding the tool past the window (great care is taken not to scratch your window). In rare instances, it may be necessary to drill access holes to reach the dent. This is not recommended and we would not attempt it without consulting with you first.
Once the repair tech gains access to the dent, he will gradually “massage” the dent back to its original condition (or as close to original condition as possible). The technician will inform you before starting to work how close to the original condition he can get. The Paintless Dent Repair process requires extensive experience and great skill. It may take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours to repair the dent or ding, depending on the size, location, and severity of the dent.

Windshield Repair
Authorized to handle all insurance repairs
Dent King offers windshield repairs for minor rock chips, cracks, dings, and dents. Fixing a windshield crack or chip while its small can prevent further damage and save you from having to replace your windshield later. In addition, the windshield damage will be much less noticeable after the repair.
Small windshield chips can spread over time due to vibrations in the road, dirt and debris collecting in the chip, temperature changes, and everyday wear and tear. Any and all of these factors can cause a small windshield chip to spread and develop into a large crack.
Cracks, dings, dents, and chips break the factory seal on the windshield and make it more vulnerable in the event of an accident. Windshield cracks and chips can also impair the driver’s ability to see clearly.
